About
Better questions.
Better lives.
Level Positive was built from a simple idea: meaningful change often begins before we have the answer. It begins when we're willing to see things differently.
Why Level Positive?
It's not about positive thinking.
It's about positive direction.
Level Positive isn't about pretending everything is good. It's about believing there's always value in looking at where you are differently—and asking what might be possible from here.
Sometimes that means making a change. Sometimes it means making a decision. Sometimes it simply means seeing something you couldn't see before.
From where you are → toward what could be.
Where it started
One question changed my direction.
One evening after therapy, I sat alone in my car and asked myself a question I could no longer ignore:
What if I stopped drinking?
That question didn't change my life overnight. But it changed its direction.
It helped me see something differently. And once I saw it differently, I could make a different choice.
That experience taught me something I've carried ever since: meaningful change doesn't always begin with having the answer. Sometimes it begins with asking a better question.
That idea eventually became The What If Shift™—and the foundation for Level Positive.

About Billy Hyland
Creative leader. Author. Speaker. Question asker.
Billy Hyland is the founder of Level Positive™ and author of The What If Shift™. For more than two decades, he's built a career around ideas—finding different ways to see problems, challenge assumptions, tell stories, and move people toward action.
Today, he brings that same creative thinking together with his own experience of personal transformation to help accomplished people and organizations think differently about change—and what could come next.
He doesn't believe his job is to give people all the answers. He helps them discover the questions that can change what they see—and what they do next.
Live intentionally.
Keep growing.
